SafeNest is a privacy-focused parental control app for iPhone and iPad. Monitor screen time, track app usage, block apps, set daily limits, filter websites, and help children build healthy digital habits.
SafeNest is available in Türkçe, English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Português (Brasil), Nederlands, 日本語, 한국어, हिन्दी, 简体中文, and العربية.
Important: SafeNest is designed for use on a child’s device with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Users are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.
What Does SafeNest Do?
Parent Passcode Protection
- 6–12 character parent passcode
- Only a salted hash is stored in the iOS Keychain
- Passcode is required again when returning from the background
- Helps prevent unauthorized changes to restrictions
App Usage Reports
With Apple’s Screen Time authorization, Family Shield provides three reporting views:

- App and category usage distribution
- Most-used apps and categories
Trends
- Daily usage trends
- Average usage time
- App launches and notification counts
- Usage increases and decreases over selected periods
Hourly View
- Usage breakdown by hour
- Peak activity periods throughout the day
Reporting periods can be customized from 7 to 90 days.
Website Usage Reports
View web activity by category and website.
- Based on Apple’s Screen Time data
- Not Safari browsing history
- Data may be delayed due to Apple’s reporting system
Restrictions — Quick Block
Instantly block selected apps or categories for a chosen duration using Apple’s app picker.
Restrictions — Time Windows
Create recurring schedules that block selected apps during specific times.

- Automatic recurring enforcement
Restrictions — Daily Usage Limits
Set daily time quotas for selected apps.
- Apps are blocked once the quota is reached
- Limits automatically reset every day
Web Content Filtering
System-wide web filtering applies to Safari and supported web views.
Available modes:

- Limit Adult Websites
- Allowed Websites Only
Supports allowlists and exception lists.
Downtime Mode
Blocks all apps except approved ones during scheduled periods.

Designate apps that remain accessible regardless of restrictions, including:

Device Restrictions
Control various iOS settings, including:
- Clock changes
- App installation and deletion
- Account and passcode modifications
- In-app purchases
- Purchase password requirements
- Game Center multiplayer and friend features
- Siri access
- App Store age ratings (4+, 9+, 12+, 17+)
Reward Time
Temporarily exempt selected apps from restrictions.
- Useful as a reward system
- Restrictions automatically resume when reward time expires
Block Everything Now
Immediately block all apps except allowed ones for a selected duration.
Ideal for emergency or focus situations.
Pre-Restriction Warnings
The child receives a device notification approximately five minutes before:
- A scheduled restriction begins
- A daily usage limit is reached
Passcode Confirmation for Rewards
If a parent passcode is configured, approval of reward time requires passcode verification.
Connectivity & Settings
Provides shortcuts to iOS Settings for mobile data management.
Optional temporary locking of the Settings app can be enabled.
Important limitations:
- Mobile data cannot be completely disabled by third-party apps
- Wi-Fi cannot be disabled by third-party apps due to iOS restrictions

All restrictions operate entirely on-device without requiring a server.
What SafeNest Does Not Do
SafeNest does not:
- Disable mobile data or Wi-Fi completely (iOS does not permit this)
- Display a complete list of installed apps (limited to Apple’s selection interfaces)
- Upload Screen Time data to developer servers
- Block many built-in system apps such as Phone, Messages, or Settings

Ne yapmaz?

- Kullanım verisini geliştirici sunucusuna göndermez (bu sürüm).
- Telefon, Mesajlar, Ayarlar gibi birçok sistem uygulamasını engelleyemez.
